Still Life

MAC Cosmetics 

For this assignment we where asked to present a still life photograph of an object or group of objects. Thus the reason for me choosing Make-up Art Cosmetics, other wise known as MAC as the objects for this project, to get the correct concept I research previous advertising photographs done for the company of their diverse products.  For their primary products they maintained a simple clean feel to the foto,  however due to the dark color of the encases I could only use a white back round with a reflecting white base where in the photographs we see the reflection of the products, which all face forward to make sure the product is selling not only its self but the brand as well.

Now this is not the only way to develop a still life photography since, its actually a demanding art not only to sell products but to represent objects as well, like work done by Irving Penn.
